Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Got Gout, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Got Gout provides AI-assisted meal analysis, purine estimates, hydration and medication tracking, and personalized plans to help users manage gout. Estimates are approximate and provided for informational purposes only.

3. Not medical advice

Got Gout is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified provider with any questions about a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in the app.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Got Gout.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

6. Subscriptions & billing

• Paid features require an active subscription processed by Stripe.
• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• You may cancel anytime from the Subscription screen; access continues until the end of the current period.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including: reverse engineering, scraping, uploading unlawful content, attempting to access other accounts, or using the service to provide medical advice to others.

8. User content

You retain ownership of meals, photos, and notes you submit. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to operate and improve the service.

9. AI outputs

AI-generated estimates may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for dietary or medical decisions. We disclaim liability for decisions made based on AI outputs.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Got Gout will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Got Gout is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
